Research: Mobile (Web-App)

To get a better idea of what mobile design trends are manifesting in the industry, I did some research. I wanted to make sure our web-app was going to be cutting edge.

Research showed that it was popular to:

• Mirror Native UI Elements
• Facebook does this, and because it mirrors Apple's native UI, users do not have to 'learn' how to use it.
• Focus On a SIMPLE Interface
• Flickr, shown below, gives a good example of how a balance between functionality and visual design just WORKS on a small display area.

• Make Use of Icons as visual clues
